The Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) invites visionary artists and designers to participate in our 2026 Art Bra® Austin event. This year, our theme is “Radiance Reclaimed”, and we are seeking couture, Met Gala-inspired bra designs that embody bold elegance, luxury, and high-fashion artistry. Your work will not only be a stunning wearable masterpiece but also a symbol of strength, tenacity, and resilience.

Art Bra® Austin is a celebrated annual runway show where breast cancer survivors take center stage, modeling bras that reflect their journey with grace and empowerment. Each bra is a unique creation that merges artistic vision with personal courage, transforming the runway into a celebration of survival and style.

We Are Looking For:

Sustainability

• Minimum 30% sustainable materials per design
• Suggested sustainable materials include but not limited to:
  • Silk, cotton, hemp, TENCEL™, linen, Piñatex®, Mylo™, etc.
  • Recycled fabrics (PET, wool, sequins), deadstock, vintage embellishments.
  • Natural raw material, such as metal, stone, shells, glass etc.
  • Biodegradable sequins, ethically sourced materials.
  • Repurposed materials from thrift stores, estate sales etc.

Quality & Craftsmanship

• Designs  must be quality and fully finished
• No glued-on embellishments without stitching support.
• Structure, tailoring, and embellishment should feel and photograph well
• Look should withstand multiple try-ons, fittings, and runway use.

Visual & Commercial Appeal

• Submissions should look expensive, dramatic, and editorial-worthy.
• Designers should aim for looks that could retail for $500+.
• Glamour, elegance, and a bold point of view are essential.
• Think red carpet, not casual wear—these works of art must sell the fantasy and stand for something.

Selected bras will be worn by breast cancer survivors during the Art Bra® Austin runway show on June 6, 2026, empowering them to share their stories through your art.
